📥 Export Tool Documentation

The Export Tool* allows you to extract 3D geometry from the viewer and save it as standard *STL files, compatible with CAD software, 3D printing, and other modeling tools.

🏗️ Workflow

1. Select Parts: Select the components you wish to export in the 3D view or Node Tree.

2. Review: The Export Tool panel will list all selected meshes with their:

* Name

* Dimensions (meters)

* Triangle Count (Complexity)

3. Export*: Click *"DOWNLOAD STL".

📂 Output Format

  • Single File: If you select one part, you get a single .stl file named after the part.
Multiple Files**: If you select multiple parts, the tool generates a *ZIP archive containing individual .stl files for each part. Coordinates & Scale**: The exported geometry retains the **World Coordinates** and uses the *Metric System (meters).

* Scale 1:1: Meshes are exported at their real-world 1:1 scale. This means if you export a wing and a fuselage separately and open them in CAD, they will align perfectly and have their exact real-world dimensions.

> Note: The export is binary STL, which is compact and widely supported.
