🧩 Parts Analyzer Documentation

The Parts Analyzer is the primary tool for inspecting the model's structure, managing visibility, and isolating specific components for detailed review.

🎯 Selection

  • Click: Click on any part in the 3D view to select it.
  • Multi-Select: Hold Ctrl (Command on Mac) while clicking to select multiple parts.
Tree Selection**: You can also select parts from the *Node Tree on the left. The selection is synchronized.
  • Batch Selection: Use the input field at the top to select by Index (e.g., 55, 37) or Range (e.g., 10-14).

👁️ Visibility Controls

Once you have a selection, use the buttons in the grid to control visibility:

1. 👁️ Show Only: Hides EVERYTHING else, showing only your current selection. Useful for quickly isolating a system.

2. 👁️ Show List: Adds the current selection to the visible set without hiding anything else. (Additive).

3. 🚫 Hide List: Hides the currently selected parts. (Subtractive).

4. 🔄 Reset: Restores the visibility of the entire model to its initial state (Show All).

🔍 Detailed Analysis

When parts are selected, the panel displays:

Cumulative Dimensions: The bounding box size of the *entire selection (X, Y, Z in mm).
  • Individual Parts: A list of selected meshes with their specific names, indices, and local dimensions.
  • Show Bounds: Toggles a yellow wireframe box around the selection to visualize its volume.

🖥️ Isolation Mode

Isolate in New Window: Opens a completely new browser window containing *only the selected parts. This is ideal for dual-monitor setups or focusing on a complex sub-assembly without the distraction of the main scene.
